The MSA Letter of Authenticity (LOA) features an inset image of the item, along with other customized characteristics, and is signed by a MSA autograph expert in the presence of a licensed notary. A certification label is placed on the item or letter (customer preference) with the corresponding number appearing on the MSA LOA.

Signed index cards and “cut” autographs have long been popular with autograph collectors and are frequently submitted to MSA for authentication. Now, these signed items can be encapsulated in CGC’s state-of-the-art holder for enhanced preservation and display following authentication by MSA. To submit signed index cards and cut autographs, use the online submission form on CGCcards.com. Select “Signed Index Card or Cut Autograph” as the collectible type and “Authentication & Encapsulation” as the primary service.

A MSA Autograph Grade assigns a numerical grade to authenticated autographs, reflecting their quality and condition. Available as an optional upgrade to a MSA Letter of Authenticity (LOA) only, for items with up to two autographs.

MSA Signature Debut Certification spotlights autographs signed during the early stages of an athlete's career, such as a players rookie season. Available for the four major US sports leagues - NBA, NFL, MLB, and NHL - this certification is included at no additional cost to COA or LOA fees. Simply request this service as part of your submission if you believe your item qualifies.
